Bihar Matriculation Exam 2014 from 6th March

 

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the dates for the 2014 matriculation exam. The exam will commence on 6th March and will conclude on 13th March. It is expected that approximately 15 Lakh candidates will fill up the form for the matriculation exam.

This time there will be two shift for each paper - one in the morning session and other in the afternoon session. This has been done to accommodate the large number of students appearing for the exam and due to the unavailability of enough examination centers. The standard of question paper for both the sittings will be same from the prescribed syllabus. Students belonging to the same school will be giving exam in the same sitting. The question papers will be wrapped in white color clothes (first sitting) and red color clothes (second sitting) to differentiate the sitting for which it is meant for. English paper will be the first paper on 6th March - first shift will be from 9:30 AM to 1:45 PM and other shift will be from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. An extra time of 15 minutes will be given for reading the question paper. The detail of the exam schedule is as follow :

  • 6th March (Thursday) : English (Shift 1 : 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 2 : 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM)
  • 7th March (Friday) : Social Science (Shift 1 : 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM,  Shift 2 : 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM)
  • 8th March (Saturday) : Mathematics (Shift 1: 9:43 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM)
  • 9th March (Sunday) : Off Day
  • 10th March (Monday) : Science (Shift 1: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM)
  • 11th March (Tuesday) : Mother Language (Shift 1: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM)
  • 12th March (Wednesday) : Language Paper 1 ( Shift 1: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM)
  • 13th March (Thursday) : Optional Paper (Shift 1 : 9:30 PM to 12:15 PM, Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM)

Mother Language includes Hindi, Urdu, Bangla and Maithili.

Language Paper 2 includes Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian and Bhojpuri.

Optional Paper includes Advanced Mathematics, Economics, Sanskrit, Maithili, Arabic and Persian.
